Tra i segni distintivi del design Tiffany® (dalla suite di perle donata da Abraham Lincoln alla moglie Mary Todd Lincoln, per il ballo inaugurale presidenziale nel 1862, alle rare perle di acqua salata presenti nel Jean Schlumberger di Tiffany Bird, sulla capsule collection Pearl), le perle ritornano prepotentemente con la Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams per la quale l’eclettico artista è andato oltre i fiumi e i laghi spingendosi con l’immaginazione fino alle profondità del mare per lasciarsi ispirare dal tridente di Poseidone, sovrano del mare e re di Atlantide.
Pensata in oro giallo 18 carati o titanio nero in versioni interamente in metallo e diamanti, oggi la Maison fa largo a nuovi modelli con perle d’acqua dolce di oltre 11 mm e diamanti mantenendo la costante presenza del motivo a lancia in collane, bracciali, anelli e orecchini.
“L’ispirazione della collezione deriva dalla mia affinità con l’acqua; e il nome della collezione, “Titano”, trae influenza da Poseidone, sovrano del mare, re di Atlantide. ‘Atlantis’ è anche il nome della comunità in cui sono cresciuto a Virginia Beach. In Giappone si credeva che le perle fossero create dalle lacrime di mitiche creature acquatiche; quindi ho gravitato naturalmente verso di loro come mezzo per esprimere questa connessione con l’acqua”. The eclectic artist, with his imagination, went beyond rivers and lakes, reaching the depths of the sea and being inspired by the trident of Poseidon, ruler of the sea and king of Atlantis. . Designed in 18k yellow gold or black titanium in entirely metal and diamond versions, today the Maison makes way for new models with freshwater pearls of over 11 mm and diamonds maintaining the constant presence of the spear motif in necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings. “The inspiration for the collection comes from my affinity with water; and the name of the collection, “Titan”, draws influence from Poseidon, ruler of the sea, king of Atlantis. ‘Atlantis’ is also the name of the community where I grew up in Virginia Beach.
