Altro che fast fashion! Quella che si giocherà a Parigi, da Sotheby’s, sarà una partita tra i grandi marchi del lusso. La rinomata casa d’aste, in occasione della Settimana dell’Alta Moda – proporrà, solo online, “The Fashion Collection – Private Treasures of a Refined Lady”, dal 29 giugno al 3 luglio. Una delle collezioni private più importanti e sofisticate con oltre 140 pezzi (Chanel, Hermès, Versace tra i nomi più famosi) meticolosamente assemblati da un’appassionata europea con sede a Parigi, in oltre due decenni (a partire dalla fine degli anni ’90). La stima si aggira tra i 741.000 e 1,1 milioni di euro (745.400 – 1,11 milioni di dollari).
I lotti più rilevanti saranno esposti presso Sotheby’s Parigi.

Other than fast fashion! What will be played in Paris, at Sotheby’s, will be a match between the great luxury brands. The renowned auction house, on the occasion of Haute Couture Week – June 29 to July 3, will offer, online only, “The Fashion Collection – Private Treasures of a Refined Lady.” One of the most important and sophisticated private collections with more than 140 pieces (Chanel, Hermès, Versace among the most famous names) meticulously assembled by a passionate Paris-based European over more than two decades (starting in the late 1990s). The estimate is between 741,000 and 1.1 million euros ($745,400 to $1.11 million).
The most relevant lots will be displayed at Sotheby’s Paris.
Special items in the collection, which transcend time and haute couture history, include a rare Hermès Birkin in tricolor crocodile, a breathtaking Haute Couture Dior hat made by John Galliano during the maison’s glory years, and a mini button-down dress, a quintessential Maison Versace piece, unmistakable of Gianni Versace’s bold and vibrant style.
Standing in front of this vast and comprehensive selection of fashion items and accessories, impeccably displayed in a Paris apartment, was one of those moments when I knew, at a glance, that I was looking at a truly extraordinary collection. It is the embodiment of consistently impeccable taste, of a passionate collector who has put together a spectacular and timeless wardrobe that I consider the most representative of the much-loved ‘Parisian chic’ aesthetic I have ever seen.[…]”
