Savoni, un gioiello esclusivo nato dalla ricerca e dall’amore
Lelde Savoni trentacinquenne, esperta nell’architettura, decide di impiegare le sue conoscenze, per la creazione di gioielli innovativi. L’idea della designer unisce due piaceri della donna; quello per la gioielleria e quello per la cosmetica. L’abbiamo incontrata durante la Milano Fashion Week 2023.
Ciao Lelde, come nasce questa tua idea?
“Qualche anno fa, quando mia sorella all’epoca incinta voleva evitare il contatto diretto con i profumi che lei adora. Ci siamo detti “perché non creare un oggetto che possa portare i nostri profumi preferiti, ma evitando il contattato con la pelle”? Ed è nato il “gioiello profumato”, che può risolvere aiutare anche chi ha una pelle sensibile o soffre di allergie”.
Savoni è il tuo primo approccio al mondo della moda?
“È il mio primo progetto al di fuori della mia vita professionale da architetta tra Milano e Riga. Con la sua creazione – insieme a mia sorella – sono entrata in un mondo non nuovo, ma dove ho dovuto necessariamente imparare molte cose. Da un lato gli accessori fanno parte della moda e dello stile, dall’altro abbiamo dovuto lavorare per combinare la sua valenza cosmetica”.
Che rapporto hai con la gioielleria?
“È sempre stato molto neutro. Lo so, è strano, ma non vi ho mai prestato molta attenzione prima d’ora. Ho sempre amato le linee pulite e minimaliste negli accessori e nella moda in generale dove apprezzo la funzionalità, la stessa che ho attribuito alle mie creazioni”.
I tuoi gioielli sono frutto di un lavoro artigianale? In che materiali sono realizzati?
“Dopo una lunga ricerca, abbiamo identificato nell’acciaio inossidabile l’unico materiale adatto, poiché è anti allergenico e tende a non rovinarsi a contatto con elementi chimici come l’alcol che si trova in molti profumi. La lavorazione dell’acciaio inossidabile però, richiede macchinari speciali e forni con temperature elevate, e questa prerogativa ci ha spinti alla ricerca di produttori specializzati che non sono molti. I nostri gioielli placcati in oro 18k(prossimamente usciranno anche con placcatura in oro 24k) sono interattivi, ciascuno ha un disco in ceramica pensato per contenere profumi o oli essenziali ed è in grado di mantenere la profumazione per giorni o anche settimane. Ci piace pensare che oltre alla loro funzione “protettiva” i nostri gioielli siano anche ecologici evitando spreco di profumi”.
Che progetti hai per il futuro?
“Per il marchio SAVONI, cerchiamo di attualizzare le creazioni, infatti, il tappo che racchiude il disco di ceramica, può essere intercambiabile ed abbiamo in programma di crearne diverse collezioni con uso di diversi materiali, come pietre preziose, diversi pattern, colori e persino opere di artisti”.

From an idea of essential functionality comes exclusive, fragrant jewelry that is good for the skin and the environment
Thirty-five-year-old Lelde Savoni, an expert in architecture, decides to employ her expert knowledge, to create truly innovative jewelry. The idea of the very young designer combines two women’s pleasures; that for jewelry and that for cosmetics. We met her during Milan Fashion Week 2023, where she told us about her precious idea.
Hi Lelde, how did this idea of yours come about?
“A few years ago, when my then-pregnant sister wanted to avoid direct contact with the perfumes she loves.We said “why not create an object that can carry our favorite perfumes, but avoiding contact with the skin”? And the “scented jewel” was born, which can solve help even those who have sensitive skin or suffer from allergies.”
Is Savoni your first approach to the world of fashion?
“The SAVONI brand is my first project outside my professional life as an architect between Milan and Riga. With its creation – together with my sister – I entered a world that is not new, but where I necessarily had to learn many things. On the one hand accessories are part of fashion and style, on the other hand we had to work to combine its cosmetic value.”
What is your relationship with jewelry?
“My relationship with jewelry has always been very neutral. I know, it’s strange, but I never paid much attention to it before. I have always loved clean, minimalist lines in accessories and fashion in general where I appreciate functionality, the same as I have attributed to my creations.”
Is your jewelry handcrafted? In what materials are they made?
“After a long research, we identified stainless steel as the only suitable material, as it is anti-allergenic and tends not to spoil in contact with chemical elements such as alcohol found in many perfumes. Processing stainless steel, however, requires special machinery and furnaces with high temperatures, and this prerogative prompted us to search for specialized manufacturers, of which there are not many. Our 18k gold-plated jewelry(soon to be released with 24k gold plating as well) is interactive, each has a ceramic disc designed to hold perfumes or essential oils and is able to maintain the scent for several days or even weeks. We like to think that in addition to their “protective” function, our jewelry is also environmentally friendly by avoiding perfume waste.”
What plans do you have for the future?
“As for the SAVONI brand, we always try to update our creations, in fact, the cap that encloses the ceramic disc, can be interchangeable and we therefore plan to create different collections with use of different materials, such as precious stones, different patterns, colors and even artists’ works.”
