Francesca Amfitheatrof racchiude in 220 capolavori di Alta Gioielleria i fermenti e le evoluzioni del XIX secolo francese
Aveva ragione Walt Disney quando affermava che ‘se puoi sognarlo puoi farlo’, e un’altra testimonianza è la “Awakened Hands, Awakened Minds”, la nuova collezione di Alta Gioielleria con cui la Maison interpreta e celebra il savoir-faire francese in quell’epoca di trasformazione che fu il XIX secolo, come spiega Francesca Amfitheatrof, Direttrice Artistica Orologi e Gioielli: “L’artigianato si diffonde a macchia d’olio in Francia. Siamo agli albori dell’Art de Vivre francese e alla nascita di ciò che viene definito lusso oggi”. Si è ispirata a quelle decorazioni e a quegli ornamenti, esaltati dalla pratica di tecniche di gioielleria preziose e raffinate, e sublimate dalla lavorazione di pietre rare, ovvero, la visione di Louis Vuitton.
“Nel XIX secolo la Francia attraversa un periodo di profondo mutamento, con una Parigi caput mundi. L’elemento caratterizzante del design di Awakened Hands, Awakened Minds è proprio la valorizzazione di tutte le complessità e le innovazioni, tramutate in strabilianti gioielli.” Precisa la Amfitheatrof che ha disegnato ben 220 pezzi unici suddivisi in 13 temi diversi, veri capolavori accesi da pietre rare per dimensione, purezza e colore, come i due zaffiri di Ceylon e del Madagascar, rispettivamente da 20,10ct e 7,08ct, abbinati per la qualità simile al Kashmir e per il blu intenso vellutato incastonate nella collana Perception, o il trio di zaffiri di un intenso blu reale con dimensioni graduate: 6,48ct, 4,38ct e 2,13ct, provenienti dal Kashmir, oppure l’incantevole zaffiro a stella di 27,20ct del choker.
E che dire del diamante di rara bellezza, da 15,16ct, D/IF, con il celebre LV Monogram Flower Cut, il più grande mai incastonato nelle Collezioni di Alta Gioielleria della Maison, della meravigliosa collana che sfoggia una torre Eiffel capovolta.
E poi c’è Cœur de Paris la collana in oro rosa con un diamante di 56,23 carati di una irripetibile tonalità rosa, il top della meravigliosa collezione.
La Maison ha invitato gli ospiti a Château Saint-Maur a Saint-Tropez, per un’esclusiva sfilata di presentazione della Collezione. Tra i presenti, le attrici Phoebe Dynevor, Jin Chen, Urassaya Sperbund e Young-ae Lee.

Walt Disney was right when he said that ‘If you can dream it, you can do it,’ and another testament is the “Awakened Hands, Awakened Minds,” the new Haute Joaillerie collection with which the Maison interprets and celebrates French savoir-faire in the transformative era that was the 19th century, as Francesca Amfitheatrof, Artistic Director Watches and Jewelry, explains, “Craftsmanship spreads like wildfire in France. We are at the dawn of the French Art de Vivre and the birth of what is called luxury today.” She was inspired by those decorations and ornaments, enhanced by the practice of precious and refined jewelry techniques, and enhanced by the working of rare stones, i.e., Louis Vuitton’s vision.
“In the 19th century, France went through a period of profound change, with a Paris caput mundi. The characterizing element of the design of Awakened Hands, Awakened Minds is precisely the enhancement of all the complexities and innovations, turned into amazing jewelry.” Specifies Amfitheatrof, who designed as many as 220 unique pieces divided into 13 different themes, true masterpieces lit by stones that are rare in size, purity and color, such as the two sapphires from Ceylon and Madagascar, 20.10ct and 7.08ct respectively, matched for Kashmir-like quality and velvety deep blue set in the Perception necklace, or the trio of sapphires in an intense royal blue with graduated sizes: 6.48ct, 4.38ct and 2.13ct, from Kashmir, or the choker’s enchanting 27.20ct star sapphire.
And what about the diamond of rare beauty, 15.16ct, D/IF, with the famous LV Monogram Flower Cut, the largest ever set in the Maison’s High Jewelry Collections, of the marvelous necklace sporting an upside-down Eiffel Tower.
And then there is Cœur de Paris the rose gold necklace with a 56.23-carat diamond in an unrepeatable pink hue, the top of the wonderful collection.
