La Ceramica: un gioiello diverso al Museo

Dal 5 settembre la mostra “1949-1975: Ceramica tra design e sperimentazione artistica”. Una storia parallela alla Fiera dell’Oro

27 creazioni artistiche. 27 pezzi unici in ceramica. Un tesoro che racconta la storia di una delle più antiche tradizioni della provincia di Vicenza. A custodirle, per mostrarle al pubblico sarà, dall’5 settembre all’8 dicembre 2024, il Museo del Gioiello, nell’ambito della mostra “1949-1975: Ceramica tra design e sperimentazione artistica. Una storia parallela alla Fiera dell’Oro”, curata dal Museo Civico della Ceramica “Giuseppe De Fabris” di Nove, Vicenza.

L’obiettivo è di raccontare il territorio attraverso una tradizione che segna il DNA della provincia, assieme alla lavorazione dell’oro e della lana. Il vicentino ancora brilla per i maestri artigiani che con dedizione e amore, celebrano il bello e ben fatto “Made in Vicenza”.

◗ Ma perché una mostra sulla ceramica al Museo del Gioiello? Lo abbiamo chiesto al Direttore Gestionale del Museo del Gioiello, Michela Amenduni.
«L’arte ceramica è un patrimonio di eccellenza che ci riporta alle origini della fiera dell’oro di Vicenza, a 70 anni esatti dalla sua nascita. Siamo entusiasti di offrire al grande pubblico l’opportunità di scoprire questa tradizione del nostro territorio, parte della nostra eredità culturale. È un ulteriore tassello nelle molteplici attività che il Museo del Gioiello sta portando avanti per coinvolgere un pubblico sempre più ampio, confermandosi uno spazio aperto e integrato nel network delle istituzioni culturali cittadine» spiega Amenduni.

Il Museo del Gioiello apre quindi le porte ad altri tipo di gioie facendo omaggio al capoluogo veneto come centro espositivo, proprio nell’anno in cui Italian Exhibition Group festeggia il 70° anniversario di Vicenzaoro. La Fiera di Vicenza ha giocato un ruolo cruciale nel dare visibilità internazionale agli artisti e ai designer che si sono cimentati con l’arte ceramica, attirando maestri artigiani di fama mondiale. Nella collezione di sua proprietà spicca, infatti, un vaso del 1950 attribuito a Picasso. Questa mostra temporanea è un ulteriore esempio dell’impegno del Museo del Gioiello e di IEG nella valorizzazione delle eccellenze artistiche del territorio vicentino e veneto.

La visita alla mostra temporanea è inclusa nel prezzo del biglietto d’ingresso al Museo del Gioiello, che offre un suggestivo percorso nella gioielleria italiana attraverso oltre 250 creazioni orafe di tutte le epoche, e un programma di itinerari guidati, percorsi didattici, laboratori a tema per bambini e famiglie, workshop creativi per adulti (www.museodelgioiello.it). Il 6 settembre, giorno di inaugurazione di Vicenzaoro, il Museo del Gioiello rimarrà aperto fino alle ore 21.

Box: Un luogo dedicato alla storia della ceramica veneta
 
Il Museo Civico della Ceramica “Giuseppe De Fabris” di Nove venne inaugurato nel 1995 nella capitale vicentina della lavorazione della ceramica. Ripercorre la storia della ceramica veneta dal Settecento ai giorni nostri. Il 6-7-8 settembre, a Nove, si terrà la 27^ Festa della Ceramica con oltre 80 artisti e artigiani da tutto il mondo.

Ceramics: a different jewel at the Museum

From Sept. 5, the exhibition “1949-1975: Ceramics between design and artistic experimentation.” A parallel history to the Gold Fair

27 artistic creations. 27 unique ceramic pieces. A treasure that tells the story of one of the oldest traditions in the province of Vicenza. To guard them, to show them to the public will be, from Sept. 5 to Dec. 8, 2024, the Jewel Museum, as part of the exhibition “1949-1975: Ceramics between Design and Artistic Experimentation. A Parallel History to the Gold Fair,” curated by the ‘Giuseppe De Fabris’ Civic Museum of Ceramics in Nove, Vicenza.
The aim is to tell the story of the area through a tradition that marks the DNA of the province, along with gold and wool processing. The Vicenza area still shines with master craftsmen who, with dedication and love, celebrate the beautiful and well-made “Made in Vicenza.”

◗ But why an exhibition on ceramics at the Jewelry Museum? We asked the Managing Director of the Jewelry Museum, Michela Amenduni.
“Ceramic art is a heritage of excellence that takes us back to the origins of the Vicenza Gold Fair, exactly 70 years after its inception. We are excited to offer the general public the opportunity to discover this tradition of our area, part of our cultural heritage. It is one more piece in the many activities that the Jewel Museum is pursuing to involve an ever wider public, confirming itself as an open space integrated in the network of the city’s cultural institutions,” Amenduni explains.

The Jewelry Museum thus opens its doors to other kinds of jewels by paying homage to the Venetian capital as an exhibition center, precisely in the year in which Italian Exhibition Group celebrates the 70th anniversary of Vicenzaoro. Fiera di Vicenza has played a crucial role in giving international visibility to artists and designers who have tried their hand at ceramic art, attracting world-renowned master craftsmen. Indeed, a 1950 vase attributed to Picasso stands out in its collection. This temporary exhibition is yet another example of the commitment of the Jewel Museum and IEG to enhancing the artistic excellence of the Vicenza and Veneto region.

A visit to the temporary exhibition is included in the price of admission to the Jewelry Museum, which offers an evocative journey through Italian jewelry through more than 250 goldsmith creations from all eras, and a program of guided tours, educational itineraries, themed workshops for children and families, and creative workshops for adults (www.museodelgioiello.it). On Sept. 6, the opening day of Vicenzaoro, the Jewelry Museum will remain open until 9 p.m.

A place dedicated to the history of Venetian ceramics

The “Giuseppe De Fabris” Civic Museum of Ceramics in Nove was inaugurated in 1995 in the Vicenza capital of ceramic work. It traces the history of Venetian ceramics from the 18th century to the present day. On September 6-7-8, Nove will host the 27th Ceramics Festival with more than 80 artists and artisans from all over the world.
