Informa Markets: cinque esperti per la giuria dei Sustainability Awards

Una selezione di leader dell’industry del gioiello

Cinque professionisti, riconosciuti per le loro competenze e per la loro esperienza nel settore della gioielleria e non solo, sono stati scelti da Informa Markets Jewellery per selezionare i futuri vincitori dei Sustainability Awards 2025.

Il riconoscimento va alle aziende che si sono distinte nelle pratiche ecocompatibili nella gestione ambientale che concorrono per le categorie: Life Below Water & Life On Land; Community Catalyst; Tech For A Sustainable Future; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Sustainability Leadership.

LA GIURIA

Sarà composta da John Mulligan, Head of Sustainability Strategy del World Gold Council (WGC) e President of Sustainable Development Commission del World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO ); Brandee Dallow, Presidente di Ethical Metalsmiths e Chief Sustainability Officer di Grandview Klein Diamonds; Caroline Yuan, Vicepresidente della Shanghai Diamond Exchange (SDE); Andrew Lau, Direttore ESG Advisory per Colliers Asia e Jan Porter, direttore ESG di Meiyume, provider B2B di prodotti di bellezza. 

“La nostra giuria, creata appositamente, vanta uno spettro di conoscenze ampie e diverse. La formano gioielleri di lungo corso della nostra comunity, ma anche esperti che sono quotidianamente impegnati in pratiche commerciali sostenibili nei loro settori di riferimento.” – evidenzia Celine Lau, Direttore delle Fiere del Gioiello di Informa Markets Jewellery. “Tutto è stato concertato per rafforzare l’ obiettività e l’equità dei premi che assegneremo. Il nostro obiettivo primario è garantire che le candidature più meritevoli ricevano il riconoscimento che si sono giustamente guadagnate.”

La valutazione delle iniziative sostenibili messe in campo dalle aziende inizierà ad aprile e i finalisti saranno svelati il 19 giugno in occasione del Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong (JGA). L’annuncio ufficiale dei vincitori è previsto per luglio, mentre la premiazione è prevista per il 17 settembre al prossimo Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong, nel Grand Foyer dell’Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. I premiati saranno inoltre invitati a partecipare alla Sustainability Heroes Panel Series, in programma il 16 e il 17 settembre rispettivamente all’AsiaWorld-Expo e all’HKCEC.

Le aziende ammissibili possono partecipare per un massimo di due categorie. Quest’anno è previsto un nuovo requisito per la candidatura, la realizzazione di un breve video, della durata massima di 2 minuti, in cui un senior dell’azienda motivi il perché la sua organizzazione meriti di essere premiata in una specifica categoria.

La scadenza per la presentazione delle candidature è il 7 aprile (ore 18:00 di Hong Kong).

Informa Markets: 5 experts for the Sustainability Awards jury

Five professionals, recognised for their expertise and experience in the jewellery industry and beyond, have been chosen by Informa Markets Jewellery to select the future winners of the Sustainability Awards 2025.The award goes to companies that have distinguished themselves in environmentally friendly practices in environmental management competing for the categories: Life Below Water & Life On Land; Community Catalyst; Tech For A Sustainable Future; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; and Sustainability Leadership.

The jury will be composed of John Mulligan, Head of Sustainability Strategy of the World Gold Council (WGC) and President of Sustainable Development Commission of the World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO ); Brandee Dallow, President of Ethical Metalsmiths and Chief Sustainability Officer of Grandview Klein Diamonds; Caroline Yuan, Vice President of the Shanghai Diamond Exchange (SDE); Andrew Lau, ESG Advisory Director for Colliers Asia and Jan Porter, ESG Director of Meiyume, a B2B beauty products provider.

Our specially created jury boasts a broad and diverse spectrum of knowledge. It is made up of long-standing jewellers from our community, as well as experts who are daily engaged in sustainable business practices in their fields.’ – points out Celine Lau, Director of Informa Markets Jewellery Fairs.”- Everything has been concerted to reinforce the objectivity and fairness of the awards we will be giving out. Our primary objective is to ensure that the most deserving entries receive the recognition they have rightly earned.’

Evaluation of the sustainable initiatives put forward by the companies will begin in April and the finalists will be revealed on 19 June at Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong (JGA). The winners will be officially announced in July, while the awards presentation is scheduled for 17 September at the next Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong, in the Grand Foyer of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The awardees will also be invited to participate in the Sustainability Heroes Panel Series, scheduled for 16 and 17 September at AsiaWorld-Expo and HKCEC respectively.

The deadline for applications is 7 April (6pm Hong Kong time).
