I nuovi Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36

Rolex sa come far brillare il polso delle donne. In occasione di Watches and Wonders 2023, la più grande fiera mondiale di orologeria che si svolge a Ginevra a partire da oggi fino al 2 aprile, una cinquantina di marchi presenteranno le loro nuove creazioni. Tra questi Rolex che ha appena svelato, tra le altre cose, anche le tre nuove versioni dell’Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36.

Queste tre referenze, con carrure ricavata da un blocco massiccio in oro Everose 18 ct, oro giallo 18 ct oppure oro bianco 18 ct, sfoggiano preziosi quadranti rispettivamente in avventurina verde, corniola e turchese. I quadranti, a garantirne la protezione e facilità di lettura, sono rivestiti da vetro zaffiro antiscalfitture ed antiriflesso. Ad arricchire ulteriormente questi tre lussuosi segnatempo, vi è una lunetta con incastonati 52 diamanti taglio brillante (circa 1,36 ct). Diamanti che adornano anche indici ed i numeri romani VI e IX.

I colori di quadrante scelti per questi nuovi modelli, il verde dell’avventurina, l’arancio della corniola e l’azzurro del turchese, sono un invito alla primavera, al desiderio di far festa con spensierata eleganza.

Basterebbe indossare uno di questi tre nuovi  Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36 e chiudere gli occhi per qualche secondo per immaginarsi subito catapultate nella Dolce Vita più glamour delle località di mare più esclusive del Mediterraneo.

La cassa Oyster, garantita impermeabile fino a 100 metri, misura 36 mm di diametro, una dimensione perfetta per abbracciare anche i polsi femminili più esili. Al suo interno è alloggiato il calibro 3255 di Manifattura Rolex che, animato da un sistema meccanico a carica automatica bidirezionale con rotore Perpetual, assicura una riserva di carica di circa 70 ore e consente di visualizzare, oltre alle ore, ai minuti ed ai secondi, il giorno della settimana a ore 12 e la data a ore 3. Quest’ultima è rivestita con un vetro sovrastato dalla lente d’ingrandimento Cyclope con doppio trattamento antiriflesso al fine di agevolarne la lettura. L’impermeabilità è garantita anche dalla corona di carica Twinlock avvitata alla cassa e dotata di un sistema di doppia impermeabilizzazione. Anche il fondello chiuso è avvitato con un apposito strumento in modo che solo gli orologiai abilitati da Rolex possano accedere al movimento.

I tre modelli Day-Date 36 sono assicurati al polso con l’iconico bracciale President a tre file provvisto di fermaglio invisibile Crownclasp. Il bracciale President è in oro Everose 18 ct nella declinazione con quadrante in avventurina verde, in oro giallo 18 ct nella versione con quadrante in corniola e in oro bianco 18 ct nel modello con quadrante in turchese.

Come ogni orologio Rolex, anche i nuovi Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36 vantano la certificazione di Cronometro Superlativo, titolo che attesta che sono stati superati a pieni voti una serie di test condotti da Rolex nei suoi laboratori secondo i propri criteri. La precisione di un Cronometro Superlativo Rolex è nell’ordine di –2 /+2 secondi al giorno.

Alcune curiosità sul Rolex Day-Date

Il Rolex Day-Date, primo orologio da polso con calendario a indicare, a complemento della data, il giorno della settimana in lettere e per esteso all’interno di una finestrella a semicerchio a ore 12, fu presentato per la prima volta nel 1956. L’indicazione del giorno della settimana è disponibile in ben 26 lingue. Gli orologi della gamma Day-Date, riconoscibili per l’iconico bracciale President, sono realizzati esclusivamente in metallo prezioso: oro giallo, bianco o Everose 18 carati, oppure platino 950. Data la rilevanza delle persone che negli anni lo hanno indossato, il Day-Date è soprannominato “l’orologio dei presidenti”.

The new Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36

Rolex knows how to make women’s wrists sparkle. At Watches and Wonders 2023, the world’s largest watch fair taking place in Geneva from today until April 2, some 50 brands will present their new creations. Among them is Rolex, which has just unveiled, among other things, three new versions of the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36.

These three references, with a case middle carved from a solid block of 18K Everose gold, 18K yellow gold or 18K white gold, sport precious dials in green aventurine, carnelian and turquoise, respectively. The dials, to ensure their protection and ease of reading, are coated with scratch-resistant and anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Further enhancing these three luxurious timepieces is a bezel set with 52 brilliant-cut diamonds (about 1.36 ct). Diamonds that also adorn hour markers and Roman numerals VI and IX.

The dial colors chosen for these new models, the green of aventurine, the orange of carnelian and the blue of turquoise, are an invitation to spring, to the desire to party with carefree elegance. One only has to put on one of these three new Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36 and close one’s eyes for a few seconds to imagine oneself immediately catapulted into the most glamorous Dolce Vita of the Mediterranean’s most exclusive seaside resorts.

The Oyster case, guaranteed water-resistant to 100 meters, measures 36 mm in diameter, a perfect size to embrace even the slimmest female wrists. Housed inside is Rolex Manufacture caliber 3255, which, animated by a bidirectional self-winding mechanical system with a Perpetual rotor, ensures a power reserve of about 70 hours and allows the display of, in addition to the hours, minutes and seconds, the day of the week at 12 o’clock and the date at 3 o’clock. The latter is covered with a glass topped by the Cyclope magnifying lens with double anti-reflective treatment in order to facilitate its reading. Water resistance is also ensured by the Twinlock winding crown screwed to the case and equipped with a double waterproofing system. The closed case back is also screwed down with a special tool so that only Rolex-certified watchmakers can access the movement.

The three Day-Date 36 models are secured on the wrist with the iconic three-row President bracelet fitted with an invisible Crownclasp clasp. The President bracelet is 18k Everose gold in the green aventurine dial variation, 18k yellow gold in the carnelian dial version, and 18k white gold in the turquoise dial model.

Like every Rolex watch, the new Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36 watches boast Superlative Chronometer certification, a title that certifies that a series of tests conducted by Rolex in its laboratories according to its own criteria have been passed with flying colors. The accuracy of a Rolex Superlative Chronometer is in the range of -2 /+2 seconds per day.

The Rolex Day-Date, the first calendar wristwatch to indicate, as a complement to the date, the day of the week in letters and in full inside a semicircular window at 12 o’clock, was first introduced in 1956. The day-of-week display is available in as many as 26 languages. Watches in the Day-Date range, recognizable by the iconic President bracelet, are made exclusively of precious metal: 18K yellow, white or Everose gold, or 950 platinum. Given the prominence of the people who have worn it over the years, the Day-Date is nicknamed “the presidents’ watch.”
