Creazioni a cielo aperto: il museo del gioiello di Vicenza ospita il workshop di Barbara Uderzo

“Piegare e infilare: dall’acciaio e argento ai tuoi orecchini” è il tema del terzo workshop in programma all’interno del Museo del Gioiello di Vicenza. Si comincia alle ore 10.30 di domenica 15 ottobre e l’esperienza durerà fino alle 13.

Il workshop sarà tenuto da Barbara Uderzo, orafa e designer di gioielli che dal 1990 realizza creazioni contemporanee, frutto di ricerca e sperimentazione. Le sue opere sono state esposte in numerose gallerie e musei: La Triennale, il Museo delle Arti Decorative di Berlino, il Victoria & Albert Museum, il Museo Mart di Rovereto, il Museo del Gioiello. Uderzo si concentrerà sulla creazione di un paio di orecchini. Dapprima inviterà i partecipanti ad osservare alcuni preziosi, dai più antichi emersi da scavi archeologici fino ad alcuni esempi celebri creati da aziende Made in Italy. In laboratorio si lavorerà poi il filo d’acciaio inox e l’argento per la creazione della struttura del gioiello da personalizzare e impreziosire con materiali fantasia, piccoli elementi in pietra dura, paillettes o materiali naturali.

Il quarto appuntamento, in programma il 19 novembre dalle ore 10.30 alle 13, sarà invece dedicato al tema “Modellare e segare: dagli elementi concatenati al tuo bracciale”. Il workshop riguarderà la realizzazione di un bracciale. Nelle sale si osserveranno preziosi, dai più antichi fino ai bijoux contemporanei. In laboratorio si modellerà il filo in metallo. Ogni partecipante avrà la possibilità di creare un bracciale con materiali alternativi fra quelli proposti oppure portati da casa.

Open-air creations: Vicenza jewellery museum hosts Barbara Uderzo’s workshop

Bending and threading: from steel and silver to your earrings’ is the theme of the third workshop scheduled at the Museum of Jewellery in Vicenza. It starts at 10.30 a.m. on Sunday 15 October and the experience will last until 1 p.m.
The workshop will be held by Barbara Uderzo, a goldsmith and jewellery designer who has been making contemporary creations since 1990, the result of research and experimentation. Her works have been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums: La Triennale, the Berlin Museum of Decorative Arts, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Mart Museum in Rovereto, and the Museo del Gioiello. Uderzo will focus on the creation of a pair of earrings. He will first invite participants to observe some precious items, from the oldest ones that have emerged from archaeological excavations to some famous examples created by Made in Italy companies. The workshop will then work the stainless steel wire and silver to create the structure of the jewel to be customised and embellished with fancy materials, small hard stone elements, sequins or natural materials.
The fourth appointment, scheduled for 19 November from 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m., will instead be devoted to the theme ‘Shaping and sawing: from linked elements to your bracelet’. The workshop will focus on the creation of a bracelet.
