Sothbey’s: oltre 80 pezzi di alta gioielleria della collezione di Shirley Bassey

Incassi record per la Paris Fine Jewels, quasi 6,5 milioni di euro

L’asta di Fine Jewels del 10 ottobre scorso ha registrato un totale complessivo di 6.480.480 euro: poco più del 50% dei lotti venduti è stato aggiudicato al di sopra della stima massima, quasi il 94% al di sopra della stima minima. Il top è stata la Collezione di una delle artiste più famosa a livello mondiale, Shirley Bassey – nota principalmente per essere stata interprete di alcune delle colonne sonore dei film di James Bond – che ha raggiunto circa 2,2 milioni di euro complessivi (2.197.080 euro), superando la stima massima di 2.087.100 euro – il record mondiale è stato battuto dal lotto 173, un orologio da polso in oro Cartier “Baignoire” da donna: 66.000 euro, ovvero 22 volte la sua stima massima (1.500 – 3.000 euro).

Altri lotti più preziosi mai venduti da Sotheby’s a Parigi: il lotto 187, braccialetto Cartier Tutti Frutti con smeraldi e rubini, venduto a 480.000 euro; il lotto 248, bracciale “Boucle” con zaffiri e diamanti di Van Cleef e Arpels venduto a 240.000 euro; il lotto 192, spilla Georges Fouquet con acquamarina, onice e diamanti venduto a 126.000 Euro. E poi: Lotto 172, anello vintage di Van Cleef and Arpels, design a grappolo con diamanti taglio brillante (anni ‘60) regalato da Elton John, venduto per 48.000 euro – più di 3 volte la sua stima massima (10.000 – 15.000 euro); Lotto 174, spilla vintage con diamanti a fiocco traforato decorata con motivi fogliati e nappe sospese (1905 circa), venduta per 162.000 euro – quasi 5 volte la sua stima massima (26.000 – 35.000 euro); Lotto 179, collana di smeraldi e diamanti di Van Cleef and Arpels con pendente staccabile acquistata da Dame Shirley per commemorare la sua primissima performance al Royal Variety di fronte alla defunta regina, venduta per 174.000 euro – più del doppio della sua stima massima (50.000 – 70.000 euro).

The Fine Jewels auction on October 10 recorded a grand total of 6,480,480 euros: just over 50 percent of the lots sold were above the maximum estimate, nearly 94 percent above the minimum estimate.

The top was the Collection of one of the world’s most famous female artists, Shirley Bassey – known primarily for performing on some of the soundtracks of James Bond films – which fetched some 2.2 million euros in total (2,197,080 euros), exceeding the maximum estimate of 2,087,100 euros – the world record was broken by lot 173, a Cartier “Baignoire” gold wristwatch for women: 66,000 euros, or 22 times its maximum estimate (1,500 to 3,000 euros). Other most valuable lots ever sold at Sotheby’s in Paris: lot 187, Cartier Tutti Frutti bracelet with emeralds and rubies, sold for 480,000 euros; lot 248, “Boucle” bracelet with sapphires and diamonds by Van Cleef and Arpels sold for 240,000 euros; lot 192, Georges Fouquet brooch with aquamarine, onyx and diamonds sold for 126,000 euros.
