Da quel simbolo identitario ispirato all’anno di nascita, il 1888, nacque l’inconfondibile motivo Damier. I tre numeri 8 tradotti in metafora di infinito, da allora, hanno decorato da sempre bauli e valigie per poi trasfondersi nell’alta gioielleria della Maison. Oggi il motivo a scacchi, disegnato da oro bianco e giallo e diamanti, incarna una nuova Collezione agender di grande modernità che, come spiega Francesca Amfitheatrof, Direttrice Orologi e Gioielli: “È una Collezione di diamanti che non rigiarda solo le pietre, ma anche il disegno che esse creano”.

Si comppone di 12 creazioni – tra esse anche un pendente rotondo e una coppia di orecchini a cerchio – che eleva a protagonista l’anello (disponibile con due file di diamanti o con quattro file) che si accompagna al bracciale tennis che si propone in una inedita versione, scelta che la Amfitheatrof spiega aggiungendo “Ho pensato al classico bracciale da tennis, sempre in movimento e sempre al polso”.

From that identity symbol inspired by the year of its birth, 1888, the unmistakable Damier motif was born. The three numbers 8 translated into a metaphor for infinity have always decorated trunks and suitcases and then transfused into the Maison’s high jewelry. Today the checkered motif, designed by white and yellow gold and diamonds, embodies a new collection of great modernity that, as Francesca Amfitheatrof, Director of Watches and Jewelry, explains, “It is a collection of diamonds that is not only about the stones, but also about the design they create.”
A collection made up of 12 creations-among them also a round pendant and a pair of hoop earrings-that elevates the ring (available with two rows of diamonds or with four rows) as the protagonist, which is accompanied by the tennis bracelet that comes in a new version, a choice that Amfitheatrof explains by adding, “I thought of the classic tennis bracelet, always on the move and always on the wrist.”
