Da laboratorio di oreficeria a laboratorio di oreficeria, ma di respiro internazionale! Già, perché Joidart dal 1981 ha fatto, sì, passi da gigante tenendo però fede ad una lavorazione rispettosa di certi canoni imperniati sull’artigianalità e sull’individualità. Cristina Julià, direttore creativo del brand, ama le linee pulite e di carattere che disegna ispirandosi alla Barcellona di Gaudì e alla Catalogna, ma non mancano collaborazioni con artisti provenienti da tutto il mondo. D’altronde Cristina ha l’arte nel sangue – artigiani e maestri della Scuola d’Arte e Design Massana di Barcellona frequentavano Joidart, fondato dal padre, già quando lei aveva 5 anni facendo in modo che il mondo del design, e poi quello del gioiello contemporaneo, diventassero una ‘cosa’ di famiglia.

Cultura e identità condizionano la natura delle sue creazioni lavorate a mano in argento 925 e ottone opachi con bagno oro, come la Collezione “Collage“, dalle forme geometriche imperfette che diventano moderni messaggi di mediterraneità ricoprendosi di smalti che rubano l’arancio del sole, il verde degli ulivi e il rosso della passione: una dichiarazione di fedeltà alla propria terra.

From goldsmith’s workshop to goldsmith’s workshop, but with an international scope! That’s right, because Joidart since 1981 has made, yes, giant strides while keeping faith with workmanship that respects certain canons that focus on craftsmanship and individuality. Cristina Julià, the brand’s creative director, loves clean lines and character that she designs inspired by Gaudi’s Barcelona and Catalonia, but there is no shortage of collaborations with artists from all over the world. Then again, Cristina has art in her blood – artisans and masters from Barcelona’s Massana School of Art and Design attended Joidart, founded by her father, as early as when she was 5 years old making the world of design and then contemporary jewelry become a family ‘thing’.

Culture and identity condition the nature of her handcrafted creations in 925 silver and matte brass with gold bath, such as the Collage line, with its imperfect geometric shapes that become modern messages of Mediterranean-ness by being covered in enamels that steal the orange of the sun, the green of olive trees and the red of passion: a declaration of loyalty to one’s land.
