Attendance and business at IJL are booming: International Jewellery London took place from September 4th in a new location, the Olympia, registering an increase in both the number of exhibitors (about 550) and visitors, as well as the quality of merchandise.“Our new home is the ideal place for a great show – says event director Sam Willoughby – the perfect location for British and international jewelers and designers, many of whom have already signed up for 2015. Our event is now competitive with the biggest European fairs.”
A splendid light launched the over 150 new businesses from around the world as well as a large number of side events like the charity auction in favor of cancer research, the new Late Night Shopping Event, and several runway shows displaying the trends for spring-summer 2015 as identified by Trend partners Adorn Insight – Eden, Fusion, Shape it, and Timewarp. The best in design was on stage at the Design Gallery and in dedicated areas for Designer Brands on the first floor.
A focus on bridal jewelry: a complete window for wedding jewelry designers who won over both the crowds and the press. Seminars completed the picture withthe participation of 80 industry experts. Several awards went to young designers and emerging talents.
The next edition is scheduled from September 6th to 8th, 2015.
