It will make the Italian goldsmiths’ protagonists of the Hong Kong exhibition with the three events that they are participating in: ICE (Italian Trade Agency), will once again, accompany the Italian companies in foreign markets, by promoting the image of Made in Italy jewellery, the symbol of creativity, aesthetic spirit, and expertise in technological innovation.
Targeted initiatives are based on Hong Kong’s leadership in the production and consumption of solid gold objects: in the January – June period of 2015, Italian exports rose by more than 15% on the previous year, reaffirming a trend that has been exponentially growing for years now and confirming Hong Kong as the third biggest import market of Italian Jewellery.
Participating at the Hong Kong exhibition, enables small and medium-sized Italian companies to enter China, either by using Hong Kong’s distribution networks (specialty stores, importers and wholesalers who are licensed to operate in China), or by taking advantage of the local market’s recipiency.
This year the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) will be in Hong Kong for three events: twin shows for businesses and to support the Torrese district’s activities regarding coral and cameo. It starts with ICE’s participation in the show at the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show, from 1-5th of March at the AsiaWorld-Expo.
Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the fair is the leading event in Asia for cut stones and raw materials, such as diamonds, pearls, precious and semi-precious stones. Companies of the Convergence Regions that are under the Southern Export Plan, will have an exhibition area of approximately 420 m² dedicated to them, in order to promote contacts and business opportunities (sales, collaboration and distribution agreements) between the Asian operators and Italian companies involved.
This is especially in place for coral and cameo manufacturers and targeted at certain companies in Southern Italy.
A second show will take place from the 3-7th of March 2016 in the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wanchai, the location of the “Hong Kong International Jewellery Show”. This is also organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, in collaboration with the major local and Chinese associations, and is dedicated to the finished jewellery, frames, packaging equipment and technical equipment products. For this 2016 edition, the exhibition space that the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) participants will occupy will be approximately 1 500 m² and the Italian participants will also host an ICE Help and Information Service Centre which will be available to the Italian participants and foreign trade operators.
Alongside ICE’s participation in the twin shows, they will also participate in a third event, which is also part of the Southern Export Plan, in support of the Torrese district.
This is the Assocoral Exhibition, “Timeless seductions, coral in the midst of tradition and modernity”. ICE had already been given support for this exhibition during the previous editions and this time, it will take place in the CEC Wanchai Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong.
To accompany the exhibition, there will also be a seminar in Wanchai, on the history and trends of processing coral in Torre del Greco and an AsiaWorld-Expo conference, focused on the sustainability of coral and its production on an international level with the collaboration of the CIBJO, who have obtained the UN’s sponsorship for this event.
