A trading platform for precious stones in Europe, Gemworld MUNICH 2015 will open its doors from 30 October to 1 November in the Messe München exhibition centre: about 350 exhibitors are expected this autumn.
According to the event’s marketing manager, Jens Rödel, the steady growth in popularity of this event in recent years is the direct result of a targeted expansion of the product range, from entry level to the premium ranges.
Initially a platform for exchanging coloured gemstones, today, Gemworld Munich also offers a wide range of jewellery and services, with a growing number of well-known brands, alternating with smaller companies and designers.
Given the original mission of the exhibition, a visit to the halls of Brazil and Sri Lanka, production centres for many varieties of gemstones, should not be missed.
Friday will be reserved for registered professional visitors, while Saturday and Sunday will also be open to private visitors for the “Munich Show – Mineralientage München”.
The “Young Designers’ Corner” will be home to the finalists of the jewellery design competition and those involved in the “New Design Forum” initiative.
“The market needs innovative ideas and, judging from the excellent works in the running in recent years and the high level of effort demonstrated by the young designers, we are confident that we can be the ones to provide these ideas”, concludes Rödel.
