The inspiration began on the Arctic glaciers: Bering watches, founded by Danish businessman René Kaerskov, who wanted Michael Witt Johansen and Lars Gram-Skjønnemann to join him on this adventure. The brand is named after Vitus Bering, the first European explorer to discover Alaska: and so, in 2010, BERING Time was established in Denmark.
Classic watches redesigned in modern way, using advanced materials such as high-tech ceramics, carbon and titanium, are developed in the Classic, Ceramic, Solar and Radio Controlled collections.
The Milanese mesh used on both the men’s and women’s watches give the product high visibility. This international brand, distributed throughout the world and winner of WATCH BRAND OF THE YEAR 2013, arrived in Italy in 2014 through a distribution agreement signed with IBB Milan.
The strategy is to make a watch with a commercial price – 70% of the collection consists of watches sold to the public for between EUR 100 and 200 – but not commercial in terms of the product, given the very high quality of the watches. In less than a year and a half, the brand is now distributed in more than 350 stores in Italy, with a very high product sell-out.
Essential special features for the authorised retailers include beautiful display cases that make the brand truly unique. The flagship models include the Ceramic collection.
For her, a 35mm case in bright silver and white ceramic, and a silver stainless steel bracelet with ceramic mesh. The men’s model from the same collection tends more towards shades of grey, with a carbon dial, Milanaise bracelet and ceramic bezel: date, day, 24-hours, multifunction.
